Outdoor Track Season – Registration Information

Wind Speed Athletics invites you to register for the 2026 Outdoor Track Season. Whether you are interested in competing during the track season or participating in strength, conditioning, and agility training to enhance your performance in other sports, we welcome you to join us.


Eligibility and Program Reach

Wind Speed Athletics accepts athletes ages 8 years and up. We primarily serve athletes from Lake County and Orange County; however, athletes from all surrounding counties are welcome.


  For athletes who are unable to attend in-person sessions consistently, virtual training options are available upon request. 


Additional Services
Athlete mentorship is available as a separate service for those seeking additional guidance, accountability, and support in their athletic and personal development. Details and pricing for mentorship and virtual training can be provided upon request.


  Training Sessions
Season Dates: February 9, 2026 – July 11, 2026
Location: Lake Minneola High School
Days/Time: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

On National Public Holidays and during school breaks, training will be held in the mornings. Advance notice of start times will be provided.


As the season progresses, the frequency and duration of training may increase. Training times may also be adjusted for daylight saving time, weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. A revised schedule will be emailed to registered participants where there are changes to training locations or times.


Description of Training

The program begins with foundational conditioning to build a strong fitness base. In the second phase, strength training will be introduced as part of a comprehensive athletic development program.

Athletes are encouraged to participate in our dedicated weight training sessions for an additional cost. While optional, weight training is strongly recommended as it plays a critical role in improving strength, speed, and overall performance. Athletes who participate typically see significantly better results throughout the season.


  Weight Training Sessions
Mondays and Thursdays at 3:30 PM (approximately 1 hour)
Location: Clermont training facility
Cost: $165 per month


Outdoor Meet Schedule

A detailed schedule of track meets will be provided in advance, allowing athletes and families to plan accordingly.


Registration, Costs, and Fees

  • Club Registration Fee: $640.00, which includes:
  • AAU Club membership
  • Team jersey and Tshirt (please indicate sizes on the registration form)
  • Weight Training Fee: $165/month (optional but highly recommended)
  • Travel and Entry Fees: All travel and entry fees are separate from the registration fee and are the responsibility of each athlete.


Travel and entry fees will be collected two weeks in advance to ensure timely registration and to avoid issues with missed deadlines. Athletes who fail to meet these deadlines may be unable to compete, despite their preparation and hard work.


Commitment Requirements

This program requires dedication, consistent attendance, and full effort. Athletes should be prepared to attend practices regularly, give their best effort, follow the training program, respect the guidance of coaches, and contribute positively to the team environment. This level of commitment is essential for achieving meaningful results.


Wind Speed Athletics is a development-focused program. Our goal is to support each athlete’s progression in alignment with a structured long-term development pathway, including preparation for higher levels of competition and potential collegiate opportunities.


At the end of each season, athletes will undergo a development evaluation based on factors such as attendance, effort, coachability, progress, and overall commitment to the program. Continued participation in the program will be determined based on whether the athlete’s level of commitment and development aligns with the goals and expectations of Wind Speed Athletics.

Please include the athlete’s name with all payments to ensure proper tracking.

  

Spaces are limited, and registration will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis upon receipt of payment. Payments are non-refundable. 


How to Register

To register, complete the registration form on the website and email proof of payment to windspeedathletics@gmail.com. Registration is only complete after payment has been received.
